Bangkok – 48 Hours to Party

Bangkok may be notorious for its go-go bars but that doesn’t mean these are the only places you can enjoy a drink or two. You can watch the world go round at their rooftop bars or boogie till the wee hours at many of their established clubs.

Start off your night with a bang! Travel up 63 floors in Lebua at State Tower to the Sky Bar, a popular hangout for celebrities and those in the know. Sip their cocktail concoctions and enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the Chao Phraya River. Dress smart and pretend to be a star for one night!¬†After, dance the night away to house, trance and hip-hop at Q Bar and when you’re thirsty, make sure to order from their extensive menu, one of the largest collection of liquors in town.

Didn’t soak up enough of Bangkok‘s skyline last night and want to rub shoulders with more of Thailand’s celebrities? Look no further than Long Table, a swanky rooftop bar (again) with tables that encourage socialising. That’s why it’s called Long Table. Order your cocktails at the sleek bar and walk outside to their terrace and start mingling. End your night at Bed Supperclub, a futuristic all-white restaurant bar with none-other than ‘beds’ for you to sit on and DJs spinning tunes to satisfy everyones’ tastes. Don’t get too comfortable lying on their beds!

Some quick tips:

  • Some clubs require an entrance fee so bring enough cash with you. The last thing you want is to be rejected.
  • If you want to sit at a table, get your hotel to make a booking in advance. These establishments can get busy.

I really enjoyed my time in Bangkok – it’s a real party area. Another place that surprises you when it comes to nightlife is Beirut. It’s an amazing place to spend 48 hours.
