It’s well known that Kappl is one the most popular ski resorts in the Tyrolean Alps.  The best conditions for winter sports of all kinds, the snow guarantee, unique landscape, and the delicious Tyrolean cuisine attract many tourists to the resort each year. In 2011 Sarah Engels was on the American Idol-like talent show, “Germany Is Looking for a Superstar” and finished in second place.  On February 5, the singer will be in Kappl to play all the hits from her album “Heart Beat” at Sunny Mountain Restaurant. The concert starts at 2 p.m.  At 3 p.m., you can meet Sarah for autographs.  The musician also wants to display her talents in the snow, so will be supported by the experts at the Active Kappl Ski School.

It’s the dream of many winter sports enthusiasts to be able to ski into the night after enjoying the slopes all day.  Every Wednesday during the winter season in Galtür in Paznaun, you can participate in night skiing in Tyrol: Silva Park is open to adults and children at night, satisfying those enthusiasts who cannot get enough of skiing during the day or who have always wanted to zip around the slopes under the stars.

Under the motto “Shapes in White,” this is a very unique an art event: from January 9th to 13th, 2012, ten international artists transform snow, the white element, into unique works of art. This season the sculptors will create beautiful snow dragons.  The presentation ceremony of these breathtaking snow sculptures is one of the most special events in the Tyrol.
